HOW “MI FA STARE BENE” WAS BORN

Everyday life can be really stressful: waking up early, minutes counted to get to school, endless time to get to work, traffic, problems, unexpected events, worries. Each of us has our own little big struggles. Some days are better, others less so.

I have discovered first-hand that living in a city like Milan can make all this even more complex. It is difficult to remain indifferent to its irrepressible energy, its accelerated pace, its overwhelming and at the same time contagious frenzy. On the one hand, one tends to never stop, to constantly find new stimuli, to do, do and do! On the other, one risks losing sight of one's goals and feeling obliged to follow a delirious flow of duties. One runs the risk, in short, of getting lost.

From this awareness was born my desire to find a balance and be well, precisely, even where it seems most difficult. In addition to the cliché of the Milan all work, fashion, stress and aperitifs, there is in fact a Milan that is very attentive to wellbeing and health. Because the gym or a smoothie are not enough: wellbeing travels through habits, rituals and moments that contribute to an all-round balance and that go from being an exception or, even worse, an effort, to a natural and indispensable habit.

Mi fa stare bene. Where MI stands for Milano and for my-self.

In this journey, both personal and shared, I will therefore endeavour to seek out, test and point out places that are in tune with a healthy lifestyle, that is, that embrace a series of behaviours that concern the care of body and mind. From practising regular physical activity, to choosing fresh and nutritious food, to finding spaces that promote emotional and psychological wellbeing.

Mi fa stare bene was created with the intention of making it easier for the Milanese and visitors to the city to find places that are aligned with a concept of global well-being: from venues offering fresh, organic and vegetarian/vegan food to facilities specialising in yoga, Pilates or more energetic physical activities.

I will highlight centres that stand out for their holistic approach, where the physical aspect is combined with the mental one, guaranteeing complete body care. There will also be a focus on green spaces - parks, gardens and pedestrian areas - which are increasingly becoming the ideal retreat for a walk, a jog or simply an outdoor escape. Not only physical activity, but also places where you can regenerate and relax such as spas, wellness centres, saunas and swimming pools.

Finally, I will endeavour to highlight events in line with this lifestyle, such as organic markets, healthy cooking classes, mindfulness workshops, or environmental sustainability initiatives.
