September is the month of new beginnings.

After the summer break, the air becomes cooler, the days more orderly, and that desire to get back on track returns. Yet, the return often brings with it a mix of emotions: nostalgia for summer, anxiety about a full schedule and that feeling of not knowing where to start.

The good news? You don't need to revolutionise everything. Small steps and simple, sustainable choices are enough to regain balance, energy and motivation.

Here are my 5 tips for getting back on track with ease and starting September with a more mindful and peaceful approach.

  1. Start again with a gentle reset

After weeks of flexible hours, sunset aperitifs and a slower pace, returning immediately to a strict routine can be stressful. The key is to start again gradually.

  • Go to bed 15 minutes earlier each night until you reach your ideal bedtime.

  • Spend 10 minutes in the morning doing something that makes you feel good: stretching, journaling, a leisurely breakfast.

  • Don't fill your diary with commitments: leave some free space to give yourself time.

Health Coach's advice: don't aim for perfection: the goal is to create sustainable habits that will stay with you over time.

  1. Bring more colour to your plate

The way we eat directly influences our energy and mood. September is the perfect time to gently reset your diet, without deprivation.

  • Choose seasonal fruit and vegetables: figs, grapes, plums, tomatoes, aubergines, courgettes.

  • Choose healthy proteins such as oily fish, legumes, eggs and yoghurt.

  • Keep it simple: fewer processed products, more fresh and wholesome foods.

Extra tip: a colourful plate = a more nourished body. More colours → more variety of vitamins and antioxidants.

  1. Plan a healthy grocery shopping for your return

One of the simplest things you can do to get back on track is to fill your pantry with healthy choices. When you have nutritious, fresh ingredients at home, everything becomes easier and more natural.

  • Make a shopping list before you go out.

  • Focus on simple foods: whole grains, dried fruit, seeds, fresh vegetables, seasonal fruit.

  • Always keep smart snacks on hand: hummus, fresh fruit, yoghurt.

  1. Choose a goal just for yourself

September is the month for good intentions... but making endless lists only risks generating frustration. The solution? Choose just one personal priority.

  • Dedicate 10 minutes a day to breathing.

  • Try a new yoga or Pilates class.

  • Discover a healthy restaurant in Milan.

  • Start journaling.

Health Coach Tip: When we focus on one thing at a time, our ability to maintain it over time increases. One step at a time → lasting results.

  1. Find your space for wellbeing

September brings new energy, but also lots of commitments. Remember to make space for yourself. You don't need to dedicate hours to it: just a few moments are enough to recharge your mind and body.

  • Take a 15-minute walk in nature or around the city.

  • Spend a few minutes on mindfulness: breathe, close your eyes, listen to yourself.

  • Create a “ritual” corner at home, with a candle, herbal tea, a book.

Mi FaStareBene tip: You don't have to do everything. Start with just one moment for yourself today.

Remember. September is not a race: it's a new chapter.
