WHAT IF WHAT LOOKS LIKE A SACRIFICE ACTUALLY ISN'T?

Sometimes I realise that, from the outside, some of my habits might seem quite strict.
I eat in a certain way, I try to move regularly, I often go to bed early, and I try to maintain some consistency even when I’m on holiday or my routine changes..

And I understand that, seen from the outside, these choices might look like discipline, rules or even sacrifice.
But that’s not how they feel to me.
Over time, I’ve simply learnt that there are certain things that make me feel good.
I like waking up with energy. I like feeling good in my body. I like having the energy and desire to do things, work, go out, travel and spend time with the people I love.
For me, many of these habits are no longer things I “have to” do.
They’ve simply become part of the way I live.
That doesn’t mean always making the healthiest choice, having perfect days or following a routine without ever changing plans.

There are evenings when I stay up late, meals that are far less balanced, days when I don’t move much at all, and periods when everything feels a little more chaotic.
But I naturally come back to certain habits because I know how they make me feel.
And perhaps that’s what I find most interesting.
What might look like a sacrifice to one person can be something that genuinely makes another person feel good.
I don’t think there is only one way to “enjoy life.”
I think it’s much more about gradually understanding what truly makes us feel good.
Not because it’s the right thing to do.
Not because we should.
But because, once we find it, it often stops feeling like a rule.
